Hi, I’m Nancy, and I love words!

Great writing is my passion, both in its creation and consumption. Throughout my career as an English teacher, Theatre Arts program head, Director of Education, professional consultant, and now expert proofreader and copyeditor, I have helped thousands of people improve and polish their written expression. My experience extends across a wide range of genre, from academic to creative to commercial.

I successfully completed the General Proofreading: Theory and Practice training program by Proofread Anywhere, which allows me to stand behind my work on every project with 100% confidence. As an educator and professional trainer, I was awarded a Master Teaching Artist designation by the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning through the Arts, and I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching, Secondary English Education, and a Bachelor of Arts, British Literature, with honors.

In my free time, I direct and perform in local theatre productions, read mystery novels, sing in choirs, do Zumba, walk the beach, and serve as president of the board for Best Buddies Connecticut, an organization dedicated to creating social and employment opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
